Correct maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems

If your fire alarm is not covered by a maintenance program, it does not comply with BS 5839. The recommended period between successive inspection and service visits should not exceed six months. Failure to adhere to this recommendation will mean the system is no longer compliant with BS 5839. Under the FSO, the ‘responsible person’ (usually the owner, employer, or occupier of business or industrial premises) must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement and maintain a fire management plan. With years of experience servicing fire alarms we have a wide knowledge and experience of most makes and models of Fire alarms, be it a conventional or addressable system. We have many years of experience in giving continued fire protection by ensuring fire alarms are maintained in effective working order. We also stock a range of replacement smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, and fire alarm panels.
